PARENT FORUM

A massive thank you to all the parents who have attended our parent forum meetings this term. We have received invaluable support with the organisation of this years summer fair, which takes place on Thursday 6th July from 3.15pm.

If you are able to help on the fair day please contact Mrs Terzza.

We would also appreciate donations of small cakes on the day of the fair which will be sold on our cake stall.

Thank you again for your continued support.

Thank you to all the parent/carers that completed the December 2016 questionnaire. We are delighted with the response.

Parent Questionnaire December 2016

What actions have we taken?

We noticed that 4% of parents thought their children did not receive appropriate amounts of homework. We decided to update our policy, and send it out to you so you would know about all the homework that is set.  During our INSET in December we worked together as a staff to ensure a fair, progressive and consistent policy for setting and rewarding homework was in place for all children across the school. Has your child earned any dojo points for their returned homework yet? Ask them!

We also noticed that communication from the school and class teacher was a concern for some parents. We have already had a Parent Forum meeting where communication links between home and school was the key point on the agenda. On the back of this we are planning opportunities to invite parents into school during the school day. We are setting up informal parents evening pop-ins in addition to the usual parents evening sessions so parents  and carers can pop in to discuss their child's progress. Look out in the newsletter for more information about these. Thank you to those parents that took the time to attend the Parent Forum.

We were pleased to see a reduction in the number of parents concerned by incidents of bullying. We will continue to work on this as a school.

Thank you for your continued support – it is with the support from our parents and carers that we will make Stanstead an outstanding school.

Staff and pupils at Stanstead were really proud and pleased to receive this letter. We appreciate the support from parents and families of pupils of our school.

Information for Parents and Carers

Thank you to all the parent/carers that completed the Autumn 2015 questionnaire. We are delighted with the response.

What actions have we taken?

We noticed that 24% of parents were not sure what happens with bullying at Stanstead and most said it was because they had not experienced any issues.

We decided to update our policy and send it out to you so you would know what we do if a child is not happy or being bullied. We hope this helps clarify what we do to support your child and keep them safe.  Please tell us what you think of our policy.

Ask your child about our 'zero tolerance' to name calling. It was their idea.
